Buffalo Bills Rookies Spark Heated Moments at Training Camp

The Buffalo Bills' training camp saw a massive fight break out on Tuesday after rookie linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr delivered a late hit on Pro Bowl tight end Dalton Kincaid. The offensive linemen jumped in to protect Kincaid, resulting in a huge brawl as both sets of players went at it to protect their guys.

Although brawls like these are a common occurrence during training camp, some of the offensive linemen did not enjoy the hit delivered by the rookie. Offensive tackle Spencer Brown, however, didn't mind "seeing piss and vinegar coming out of the rookies."

Alec Anderson, a fellow offensive tackle, also shared his thoughts on the incident and claimed that he "enjoyed punching" Elarms-Orr in the face after the late hit.

"Well, I didn't enjoy him hitting our guy after the whistle, but I enjoyed punching him in the face a couple times and choking him out, so that's always enjoyable," the 26-year-old lineman said, as per Rochester sports anchor Dan Fetes.

Elarms-Orr offers up an explanation

The rookie linebacker shared his side of the story to the reporters afterwards and claimed that he didn't intend to hit the tight end and believed that the play was still on.

"I was just running to the football," Elarms-Orr said. "People said he was down, but I didn't see that. I thought he was still up, so I hit him."

The rookie linebacker was a fourth-round selection in this year's draft. He started his college career at California before transferring to TCU in 2024. In his first season with the Horned Frogs, the defender tallied 54 tackles and two sacks.

His final season with the Horned Frogs saw him receive All-Big 12 honors as he recorded 130 tackles and four sacks, leading his team to an upset victory over the USC Trojans in the Alamo Bowl.

The Buffalo Bills' defense wasn't at its best in 2025, finishing 12th in the NFL in scoring defense after allowing 21.5 points per game. Buffalo will be looking for improvement on that side of the ball this season, and rookie linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr could play a role in helping the unit take a step forward.

The Bills will open the 2026 season on the road against the Houston Texans on Sept. 13. With Buffalo looking to improve defensively, it will be worth watching how much of a role rookie linebacker earns in his first NFL campaign.
