Cardinals Head Coach Praises Dante Stills
USA TODAY Sports

Former West Virginia defensive lineman Dante Stills was overlooked in the draft process, not being selected until the sixth round by the Arizona Cardinals. It's still early in his pro career but it looks like he's emerging as a late round steal by Arizona.

In ten games (four starts) this season, Stills has totaled 33 tackles, five tackles for loss, five QB hits, and 3.5 sacks. Earlier this week, Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon praised the former Mountaineer for his work ethic and how he's become a big part of what they do defensively.

"He's honestly a guy if you want to talk improvement to when he got here as a rookie to where he is now, I don't know if there's a guy that's made a bigger jump than him out of our rookie class. I mean, he started being down (inactive) and then he started being up and then what he's done for us since he's been playing has been critical to us playing pretty good defense at times. He's really taking steps every week to improve his game. He's very mindful of that too, the things that we talk to him about and tell him hey, you got to work on this and work on this. He's very mindful through practice and then it shows up in the game. He's doing a really good job."

Stills and the Cardinals take on the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST on FOX.
