Cardinals offensive weapons named ‘extremely underrated’ by NFL analyst

The Arizona Cardinals have one of the toughest assignments in the NFL. They have to compete in the powerful NFC West, meaning they have to face the Super Bowl champion Seahawks, the dynamic Rams and the dangerous 49ers. They have to face each of these opponents twice, as they do every season.

In recent years, it means the Cardinals have had little chance to compete for a spot in the playoffs, let alone the division title. The Cardinals have finished in fourth place in the NFC West in 5 of the last 8 seasons.

The division looks especially strong this season. That will make it hard for the Cardinals to compete again this season. However, the long-suffering Cardinals and Big Red fans may have reason to smile this season and in the future.

The team appears to have quite a bit of firepower at the skill positions. Jacoby Brissett takes over at quarterback, and he has a great wide receiver in Marvin Harrison and a solid No. 2 wideout in Michael Wilson. Additionally, tight end Trey McBride is one of the best at his position in the NFL.

The addition of rookie running back Jeremiyah Love looks like a sensational addition to the team. NFL insider Mina Kimes believes the skilled-position players on the Cardinals can make key contributions. “This is an extremely underrated group of skilled-position players,” Kimes said. “Marvin Harrison is being used on crossing patterns that’s different than the go routes he was featured on last year. Now you have an unbelievable stable of running backs with Love and Tyler Allgeier that can do a lot of damage.”

Opponents that overlook the Cardinals may find themselves having to play catch-up football after falling behind.
