Carnell Tate Dominates the Tennessee Titans' Defense on Sunday

Tate's first touchdown of the day was a tone setter, as this was extremely quick within the team period of practice. Cam Ward was the quarterback who was dropping back, and Tate ran a go route, which completely stunned the defense. He bypassed the best cornerback on the Titans roster, Alontae Taylor, who is expected to be a star on the Titans defense. He isn't the one who is going to let players catch the ball behind him, but that was the exact case, as Tate blew the top off of the defense on this play.

Tate would score his second touchdown of the day later in practice, but this time he made his presence felt targeting a different cornerback. The cornerback who was guarding the rookie wide receiver is Cor'Dale Flott, who is the duo of Taylor and another player who is expected to be a star on this Titans defense. Tate finished in the end zone and would spike the ball to let the defense know that he means business. This was on a jump ball, meaning he went up and snagged the ball over Flott, which has been a trend for the wide receiver out of Ohio State. The route he ran was an outbreaking route, which made a statement to the coaching staff on Sunday.

If Tate continues to make this type of progress, the Titans may have a rookie of the year candidate on their hands.
