The Dallas Cowboys entered Thursday night’s primetime matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers looking to make it two wins in a row. They came off a 34-30 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had a big game against the Texans. The five-time Pro Bowler registered 17 catches for 189 yards and one touchdown.

Lamb, though, had a quiet outing on Thursday. He also left the game in the second half due to a quad injury. He had a slight limp as he walked off the field at the 6:14 mark of the fourth quarter.

Lamb was not able to return to the game after initially being tagged as questionable. He was on the sidelines but did not check back into the game.

Before leaving the game, the All-Pro wideout caught two of five targets for nine yards.

ESPN’s Todd Archer provided an update after the game. According to the Cowboys beat reporter, Lamb’s quadriceps “tightened up.” Lamb had taken another hit to the same area after initially injuring it against Houston four days earlier.

Archer also reported that offensive tackle Tyler Guyton’s X-rays “were good.” He also left the game due to a back injury.

The Cowboys dropped to 2-3 after Thursday’s defeat. They will look to get back to winning ways in Week 6 when they head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 18.

The Buccaneers, meanwhile, are off the mark in the 2026 season after securing their first win of the campaign. They are now 1-4 ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As of this writing, Lamb’s status for the Week 6 game remains unclear.
