It's been eight years since the Chargers left San Diego for Los Angeles.

The Chargers played 56 seasons in San Diego from 1961-2016, with most of their games played at San Diego Stadium. They now play at brand new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, which they share with the Los Angeles Rams

Before the Chargers kick off their ninth season in L.A., they will head to training camp at The Bolt, which is their new training facility that opened just last year. However, they have scheduled two of their training camp practices to take place at the University of San Diego on July 22 and 23.

The July 22 practice will be for active duty military service members and veterans, and the July 23 practice will be for season ticket members. Tickets for both will be available on July 14. You can sign up here to be notified as soon as tickets are available. Activities include player autographs, special appearances, a kid's zone, food trucks, and merchandise stands.

For Jim Harbaugh, it's a return to the place that he landed his first head coaching gig, leading the University of San Diego from 2004-2006.  Expectations are high for the Chargers in 2025, as they're coming off an 11-win 2024 season and a playoff appearance. They're looking to take the next step and challenge the Kansas City Chiefs for AFC West supremacy, and make a deep postseason run. The Chargers' last playoff win came during the 2018 seasons over the Baltimore Ravens.
