As the Los Angeles Chargers prep for Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders, they received some great news on Friday. Star quarterback Justin Herbert is good to go. His foot injury will not keep him off the field to begin the team's 2024 campaign.

WR DJ Chark (hip) is out.
Meanwhile, a couple of players remain questionable entering Sunday for LA. Tarheeb Still and Asante Samuel Jr. both have that tag on the final injury report. D.J. Chark has been ruled out.

QUESTIONABLE — Tarheeb Still, Asante Samuel Jr.
OUT — DJ Chark Jr.
Chark was expected to be a depth wide receiver for Herbert's offense. Expect plenty of snaps for Ladd McConkey, Josh Palmer, and Quentin Johnston in Week 1.
Rookie WR Brenden Rice may also get more playing time than previously expected for Los Angeles, as well.
Still is the defense's backup nickel back in the slot. Losing him for Sunday will force another defensive back to hold that role. The Chargers could elevate someone from the practice squad this weekend if Still can't play, too.
As for Samuel Jr., he's the team's top cornerback. He'd be a massive loss against a team with Davante Adams at receiver.
He and Kristian Fulton are expected to be the starting outside CBs, but Samuel Jr. needs to be careful with his injury, entering the new season.
Keep an eye out for injury updates prior to Sunday's AFC West showdown. Regardless, the Chargers will have their QB in Week 1.
