Thursday night is a special night in the NFL as it is schedule release day. The Chicago Bears have officially released their schedule for the 2026 season, so now we know everything about when games will be and who they will face each week. Chicago’s schedule release video was creative to say the least, but let’s take a deeper dive into what the schedule looks like.

The Bears’ schedule release video was something that nobody could have predicted. We saw wide receiver Rome Odunze dressed as Bob Ross and he painted the 2026 Bears schedule. He would continue to paint to showcase some teams as he painted all the teams Chicago will be facing into one picture. We already knew the games, but now having the order gives us a sense of how things may go throughout the season.

Chicago, like the other NFC North teams, faces the AFC East and NFC South this season. They have three of the first four games at home and will be playing on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The Bears also have a potentially tough stretch to end the season. Of course, it all matters how things unfold on the field. On paper, they have some challenging matchups, including eight games against teams that made the postseason last year. They have the hardest strength of schedule in the NFL as well, but the order matters so much to how things play out.
