Caleb Williams entered the NFL in 2024 with a lot of hype surrounding him. He enjoyed a successful run with the USC Trojans, leading the Chicago Bears to select him at No. 1 overall. The quarterback recently addressed a decision he made for draft night.

Williams started his collegiate career with the Oklahoma Sooners in 2021. He then entered the transfer portal before committing to USC, where he played two seasons. The Washington, D.C. native won the Heisman Trophy and earned unanimous All-American honors in 2022.

He proved last season that he is the Bears’ long-term answer at quarterback. Williams led the franchise to an NFC North crown with an 11-6 record. Chicago reached the Divisional Round but lost 20-17 in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams.

Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams talks about his draft night outfit

Williams turned heads during the 2024 NFL Draft because of his outfit. He wore a custom Chrome Hearts suit with navy blue fabric, which was a subtle nod to the Bears. The jacket featured an asymmetrical silver zipper closure in place of standard buttons. He paired it with navy trousers featuring custom Chrome Hearts cross details and monograms near the cuffs.

The 24-year-old talked about his ensemble during his appearance on the “Hot Ones” show.

“I feel like the night was my night,” Williams said. “The idea of it, shout out to (the) Stark family. Love them, appreciate them for all those moments and all the other clothes that I’ve been able to buy from them and gifts that I’ve got from them. I definitely wanted to stand out, be different. With the blue, I wanted to add just small hints of silver. Black boots but Margiela with the toe split so a little different pocket.

“And then under, I went Chrome Hearts shirt with the orange, shout out Chicago and Chicago Bears. I had an orange Chicago under the Chrome Hearts symbol. So it was a full kind of Chrome Hearts and Chicago, Chicago Bear collab kind of thing. And wanted to be the swaggiest guy. Wanted to make a statement.”

Williams has made a name for himself as one of the most stylish players in the NFL. However, he has backed his swag off the field with clutch performances that have helped him be the player that he is today.
