Dillon Thieneman took center stage on Thursday night as the Chicago Bears’ 25th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. The Bears needed to address a major need in their secondary heading into draft night, and it is clear that they have a lot of confidence in Thieneman to fill the void.
Chicago lost Kevin Byard, Jaquan Brisker and Jonathan Owens in free agency, leaving a massive hole in their secondary. They brought in Coby Bryant from the Seattle Seahawks, and they will now pair him with Thieneman in the new NFL season.
Thieneman is coming off an All-American campaign with the Oregon Ducks. He registered 96 combined tackles (44 solo) and seven interceptions in seven games.
It wasn’t just Thieneman who drew attention during his big moment on Thursday night, though. The 21-year-old attended the draft with his family, and fans on social media could not help but pay a lot of attention to the young defensive back’s sister, Kiera Thieneman.
A video of Thieneman’s family being interviewed by ABC’s Molly McGrath is currently circulating on social media. Despite not saying anything during the interview, Kiera Thieneman still turned heads on X.
