Ryan Poles’ 2025 NFL draft class has had its ups and downs so far this season but it’s one that could be a staple for the Chicago Bears future. With Poles taking two skill position players with his first two picks and then an offensive lineman, these young players are going to be considered part of the core.
On Sunday, those players delivered for the Bears.
Poles draft class had a good day in the 31-29 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12, helping the team move to 8-3 and keep a hold of first place in the NFC North.
During Sunday’s win, six of Poles’ draft picks from the 2025 class were on the field. The only two not to hit the field were Shemar Turner and Zah Frazier. Turner is out for the year with an injury while Frazier is out due to personal reasons he suffered during the offseason.
Offensively a few guys stood out.
Colston Loveland and Kyle Monangai both had touchdowns and continued their impressive starts. Loveland continues to get more involved, taking over as the primary target at tight end.
For Monangai, he had 12 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown. It’s a backfield split with D’Andre Swift and Monangai was the back the Bears went to down the stretch.
Pretty good day for Ryan Poles' 2025 #Bears draft class:
Loveland — 4-49, TD
Burden — 3-46 receiving/1-15 rushing
Trapilo — held his own at LT
Hyppolite — 2 tackles before injury
Newman — filled in at RG without incident
Monangai — 12-48, 1 TD— Mark Potash (@MarkPotash) November 23, 2025
Then there’s Trapilo.
After losing out on the left tackle job in training camp, he’s been the primary backup at right tackle. He made his first start at left tackle and played well. He didn’t allow a sack and had just one pressure given up. He stepped right in and made an impact on the line, going against a good Steelers’ front.
Obviously, it’s very early to make any verdicts on this class one way or another. But it was a good sign to see this group step up in Week 12 and help get the Bears a win.
