Andy Reid looked on as Xavier Worthy and his Kansas City Chiefs dropped to 5-5 on the 2025 NFL season after a 22-19 loss to Sean Payton and AFC West rival Denver Broncos in Week 11. Now the Chiefs will turn their attention to Week 12, where they will head back to Arrowhead Stadium to host Shane Steichen and the Indianapolis Colts.
Worthy had a quiet day against Patrick Surtain and the Broncos’ secondary, finishing with just three catches for 25 yards. Kansas City’s rushing attack was also limited to 62 yards, with running back Isiah Pacheco sidelined by a knee injury. And ahead of Week 12, the Chiefs suffered another setback on that side of the ball.
Worthy has dealt with numerous issues this season. In Week 1, the wide receiver dislocated his shoulder after colliding with Travis Kelce, leaving him out for two games. And leading up to the Broncos matchup, the wide receiver was also a limited participant in practice with an ankle issue.
And as the Chiefs continue their preparation for an important game against the Colts, Reid revealed on Wednesday that Worthy aggravated his ankle issue, leaving his practice status up in the air. But on the bright side for Kansas City, Pacheco was able to return to practice.
"Xavier Worthy tweaked his ankle, per Coach Reid, and they’ll have to see how he’s feeling in regard to practice today," Chiefs reporter Matt McMullen. "Isiah Pacheco (knee) will practice."
Kingsley Suamataia (concussion protocol) won’t practice for the Chiefs today.
