Coming into the Week 14 matchup with the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs would hand the starting running back keys over to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who was once the starter until Isiah Pacheco started when CEH was out last season. Since then, it's been mostly the 2022 seventh-rounder who gets the bulk of the carries.
In Week 13, Pacheco hurt his shoulder, and coming into the game against their rival, the Buffalo Bills, Pacheco was ruled out. So, this was CEH's time to show that the Chiefs didn't make the wrong decision to make him the starter once again.
Edwards-Helaire actually started the game very well. CEH's first three carries went for 15 yards, all on big downs. Edwards-Helaire started to look really good. And really, it never went away in terms of what he was doing on the field with his game.
It went away because he lost his pants.
Yes, you read that right; Clyde Edwards-Helaire actually ended up losing snaps because he had a wardrobe malfunction. In the video, you can see his whole thigh as his pants were ripped.

That is one embarrassing way to lose some snaps.
In all seriousness, CEH and Jerick McKinnon have done a great job of picking up some of the slack that Pacheco has left with him being out with an injury.
