Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, for most, will be embarking on his final NFL season in 2025, and as we know, the future Hall of Famer has a lot of irons in the fire.
His New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason, is a huge hit, and his relationship with Taylor Swift may lead to some partnerships after football.
But Kelce might have other plans entirely.
On a recent episode of "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast, Travis subtly revealed what he hopes he could do when his career ends.
"I wanna see what calling a game feels like," Kelce said. "Getting in the booth. I've always impersonated guys that call the games and stuff like that growing up. I don't know, I thought it would always be fun to just jump in there. Player names is where I would get [expletive] ruined."
So Kelce could follow in the footsteps of Tony Romo and Tom Brady (and his own brother Jason, now at ESPN) and make his way into the broadcast booth.
Given how many ex-players are currently in the media, we think Travis might take to it rather well. Of course, it doesn't always pan out, with Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten trying his hand at it, and it didn't exactly go too well.
So broadcasting isn't for everyone, but Kelce's knowledge of the game and his personality might be a good fit for television if he were to retire at the end of this season.
There's no denying Kelce will have his fair share of offers after his football career ends, and who knows, he might just be the latest player to enter the broadcast booth.
