The Bengals should sign Kevin Zeitler.
Yes, the same guy that they picked with the 27th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. The same guy that they didn't make a realistic offer to in 2017 prior to the Browns making him the NFL's highest-paid guard.
The Bengals had conversations about signing Zeitler in 2021. He ended up in Baltimore. He finished his contract with the Ravens and sign with the Lions last year. Time has passed, but he's still playing at a high level.
Zeitler turned 35-years-old four days ago. The history says that a deal won't get done. I get it.
But it should get done.
Throw out past feelings and age. The Bengals need to protect Joe Burrow. They need an offensive line that can open up holes for Chase Brown in the running game.
And Zeitler needs a ring.
If bridges were burned, they can be rebuilt.
The Bengals should sign Zeitler and a starting left guard and give Burrow the best and most complete offensive line that he's had since they picked him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
