Although the Philadelphia Eagles have Super Bowl aspirations this season, FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd is convinced they could trade away one of their best players.
Despite scoring 24 points in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, the defending champions failed to get Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown involved. He had just one reception for eight yards. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has vowed to get his star wideout the football this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“There's no secret about it, we always want to get the ball to six [Smith] and 11 [Brown] and we're always trying to, so we will do an even better job as coaches trying to make sure that happens. That obviously starts with me, but what I do think that we were on offense was very efficient," Nick Sirianni told reporters. "The ball was moving forward consistently. We didn't have a lot of negative plays. I believe we had one sack, not a lot of penalties on offense, and the ball moved forward, and so we were efficient."
Brown told reporters Wednesday he's trying to stay "locked in" for this weekend's Super Bowl rematch.
Cowherd, however, believes Brown's days with the Eagles could be numbers.
"Keep your eye on Philadelphia and A.J. Brown," Cowherd said. "The last 20 games, nobody has run the ball more than Philadelphia. The soul of the offense is Saquon Barkley, the offensive line and Jalen Hurts. I would argue they use tight ends about as effectively as everyone else."

According to Cowherd, the New England Patriots could be "in play" for Brown.
"Mike Vrabel has worked with A.J. Brown. Remember, New England is a young team. The draft picks are going to play. What they don't necessarily need is draft picks. What they need is someone who can come in and produce. I think A.J. Brown to New England is in play."
We'd have to imagine that Mike Vrabel would love to reunite with Brown, who had 185 receptions for 2,995 yards and 24 touchdowns during his time with the Tennessee Titans.
Are the Eagles willing to part ways with a dynamic playmaker mid-season? Only time will tell.
