Colin Cowherd's 2014 Dak Prescott Tweet Has Aged Terribly

Some NFL teams may have shared Cowherd’s skepticism, as seven quarterbacks were drafted ahead of Prescott a decade ago. The former Mississippi State standout continues to prove doubters wrong with a successful career.

Prescott boasts a 98.6 career quarterback rating and 67.0% completion rate. He ranks eighth among active quarterbacks with 36,443 passing yards, giving him another major franchise record.

The 33-year-old reflected on breaking the team’s passing touchdown record after Sunday’s game.

“I’m blessed, honored,” Prescott said, per Cowboys.com’s Tommy Yarrish. “As I told you earlier in the week, records are meant to be broken. This is my time to break this one. Pretty cool to do it against the team I threw my first touchdown against ten years ago or so. Definitely humbling, something I don’t take for granted. The great history of this organization, of the past quarterbacks before me… Super, super honored. Super thankful.”

Meanwhile, Cowherd had nicer things to say about Prescott on Monday. The radio host believes the Cowboys will go as far as the quarterback takes them.

“Because the owner sucks so much of the oxygen out of any Cowboys discussion, we don’t give Dak the credit he deserves for his number one strength, which is maturity,” Cowherd said on The Herd. “The quarterback’s not supposed to be more mature than the owner, but he is. He always keeps the train on the tracks.”
