Colston Loveland reacts to Caleb Williams’ powerful message for Chicago

Colston Loveland and Caleb Williams forged a strong bond on and off the field. The tight end joined the Chicago Bears last season as the No. 10 pick and immediately established himself as a reliable weapon for the star quarterback.

Their partnership contributed to the team’s success in 2025. Loveland recorded 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns, while Williams completed 330-of-568 passes for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns. They will both play key roles again next season in Chicago’s quest for a deeper playoff run.

EA Sports officially announced on Wednesday that Williams will be the cover athlete of Madden 27. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner posted photos and clips from his photoshoot and dedicated the honor to Chicago.

“Chicago, this one’s for us. Honored to be on the cover of #Madden27. Full reveal goes live Thursday at 8PM ET,” Williams wrote.

Loveland expressed support for his teammate with his reaction in the comments section.

“Give em something at top,” Loveland commented.’

The game’s cover art features Williams in a jump-throw pose. EA Sports will release Madden 27 worldwide on Aug.13. However, fans who want to play it early can reportedly access a 10-hour trial starting on Aug.6.

Williams’ impressive 2025 season and the Bears’ exciting play style likely influenced his selection. The team executed several late-game comebacks that garnered significant attention from the football world.

Chicago will play seven primetime games next season, giving fans across the country more chances to see Williams in action.
