Bobby Wagner is one of, if not the best linebackers of this generation, as well as being among the best linebackers to ever play the game. But despite his advancing age, he is barely showing any signs of his play getting worse.

In a recent article by PFF's Ryan Smith, he puts together a list of NFL veterans who are still playing at a high level, and one of the players he mentions is the Washington Commanders' star linebacker.

"Despite playing more than 14,000 snaps in his 13-year career, Wagner is showing no signs of slowing down," Smith wrote. "Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels received a lot of the headlines amid the Commanders’ impressive turnaround last season, and deservedly so, but Wagner's impact on the defense in his first year with the team should not go unheralded."

The Commanders took a lot of pride in their defense this past season, and Wagner's leadership was one of the main reasons they were able to maintain a consistent level of play.

The 35-year-old linebacker racked up 132 total tackles this past season, as well as two sacks and 10 tackles for loss. His impressive ability to wrap up ball carriers led him to be named to his tenth Pro Bowl, as well as Second-Team All-Pro.

Washington has emerged as a serious contender in the NFC, so Wagner and the rest of the team's defense will be looking to help lead the team to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1991.
