The Washington Commanders are heading into the playoffs! Jayden Daniels led the team to a win in overtime, securing their first playoff appearance in the post-Dan Snyder era. All of the players are happy...but one of the Commanders' stars is much, much happier.
Fans who stayed after the final whistle may have noticed Commanders safety Jeremy Reaves having a moment on the sideline. The former All-Pro safety prepared a special surprise for his girlfriend Mikaela Worley. Reaves proposed to his girlfriend, who said yes. It was a wholesome moment, one that they won't forget at all (video from Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post).

Reaves was a first-team AP All-Pro pick in 2022 as a special teamer. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL last season, ending his season prematurely. He's played in 16 games this season for the Commanders and was part of the 2020 team that made a surprise playoff appearance.
Reaves credited his girlfriend with helping him throughout his recovery. Speaking to reporters after the game, per Stephen Whyno of The Associated Press, the Commanders safety said that, "I can’t say enough about her. When I was at my lowest last year, she was there to pick me up every day. She showed up. That’s my best friend. Been my best friend since high school.”
The Commanders have secured a playoff spot this season behind the stellar play of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. They will look to secure a better seed next week when they face off against the Dallas Cowboys.
