Week 4 of the NFL concluded, and in Confidence pools, there were some hits and misses. Let’s take a look at the picks made and recommended last week. How did I do?
For NFL confidence pools, the rules are simple. Rank all 16 games by how confident you feel about each pick. The more confident you are with the pick, gets 16 points you get (Most confident), all the way down to 1 point (Least). Now it’s hard to determine every game because the NFL is unpredictable, but it’s a fun way to boost your confidence.

Alright, so in the Packers vs Cowboys game, it ended in a 40-40 tie, and this got many to wonder what this means when calculating points in confidence pools. So, when it comes to Ties in Confidence pools, what are the rules? Well, like in survivor pools, it depends on the type of pool that you are in. Sometimes it counts as no points, and other times it does. For the sake of this article and most pools I am in, I will be counting it.
The Chargers got outplayed by the New York Giants, but that is not the worst pick of the week. It’s the San Francisco 49ers. Definitely should have paid attention to the injury report, as that team is so much more hurt than originally thought, and a lot of notable players got reinjured in this game. The Jaguars were the right side to lean in that game due to health, and honestly, I regret not picking it.
Compared to last week, it was definitely a much better performance, wise for me. However, it’s going to get tougher now that bye weeks are starting in Week 5. No matter what, it’s better to improve than decline. So I am back on the right track. Make sure to check back for more Confidence pool selections.
