Could the Bengals bolster their defensive line and hurt a division rival in the process?

Longtime defensive line coach Karl Dunbar just completed the final year of his contract with the Steelers. His deal expires at the conclusion of the 2024 season.

Dunbar, 57, has been a defensive line coach since 2002. He's coached at various spots at both the pro and college levels, including the Steelers, Vikings, Bears, Bills and Jets. He's also been the defensive line coach at Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma State.

The Bengals desperately need someone that can come in and help their young defensive linemen develop. Maybe Dunbar is the right fit.

Regardless, it doesn't hurt to have options on the market—especially veteran coaches like Dunbar.
