The Washington Commanders announced they are moving on from offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy after naming Dan Quinn their new head coach. Could he reunite with the Chiefs following Super Bowl LVIII?
There's always a possibility because, according to head coach Andy Reid, Bieniemy has already played a role in Kansas City's postseason run.
"He came in and talked to our team before our last game," Reid told reporters. "I think his coaching future is great. I'm obviously a big fan of his and the things that he can do."

Bieniemy coached for the Chiefs for 10 years as their running backs coach (2013-17) and offensive coordinator (2018-22). But after falling short of several head-coaching jobs, he opted for a change of scenery to prove himself away from the talented Chiefs.
The 54-year-old's impact did not go unnoticed by Kansas City, however, as he played a large role in the team's last two Super Bowl victories. Some players even told NFL Network's James Palmer that they've missed him after he spoke with them.
QB Patrick Mahomes said that Chiefs players had goosebumps listening to Bieniemy as he spoke to the team ahead of the AFC Championship game, per KSHB's Pete Sweeney.
Although both sides would likely welcome a reunion, it is unlikely to happen. Kansas City's coaching staff is full, according to Reid, and Bieniemy may still have other options for the 2024 season.
"I have no spots right now," Reid added. "He's still up for a couple jobs."
Many, like former QB and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III, believe Bieniemy should have never left the Chiefs.
Eric Bieniemy not being a Head Coach after 2 Super Bowls and 7 straight AFC West titles in Kansas City is STILL BAFFLING. Then he got Charlie Brown’d by people saying he needed to run his own offense and goes to a Washington staff on its last breath. He should have never left KC.

But there's no going back now. All Bieniemy can do is support his former team as it prepares for Super Bowl LVIII and search for his next opportunity to prove he should be a head coach in the NFL someday.
