KaVontae Turpin had another big year for the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. After being named an All-Pro first-team wide receiver in 2024, the 29-year-old kept his foot on the gas this season.
Turpin played 15 games throughout the campaign (two starts), registering 38 catches for 396 yards and two touchdowns. The fourth-year wideout also added 89 yards on the ground on 17 carries.
Turpin’s numbers saw a slight decline compared to the previous season, but there’s no denying that he was an integral part of Dallas’ offense in 2025. A testament to this fact is how he has now been called up to the Pro Bowl squad for the third time in his career.
Turpin was selected to the All-Pro second team after another strong campaign. However, he was initially overlooked for the Pro Bowl games. Dak Prescott , George Pickens, Brandon Aubrey, Quinnen Williams and Tyler Smith are all taking part in the upcoming Pro Bowl games. Turpin, as well as Jake Ferguson, has now been added as a replacement.
The Cowboys announced the news via their official website.
“KaVontae Turpin is back for the third straight year after being added as an alternate kick returner. Seattle's Rashid Shaheed is one of the six Seahawks who will not participate after Seattle advanced to the Pro Bowl on Sunday,” the announcement read.
The Pro Bowl Games will be held in San Francisco ahead of Super Bowl 60. The festivities will include various skills competitions, as well as the highly anticipated 7-on-7 flag football competition pitting the NFC against the AFC.
The annual event is part of the NFL’s build-up to the big game. Super Bowl 60 will be on Feb. 8, with the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks set to face off for the right to be named the 2026 NFL champions.
