Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Gets New Offensive Lineman

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will look to bounce back from a disappointing 2025 NFL season in 2026, beginning with a Week 1 matchup against Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants on "Sunday Night Football." Under second-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys will also look to avoid a three-game playoff drought.

While the Dallas defense was one of the worst in the NFL last year, the offense was one of the best. Prescott, with a star wide receiver duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, completed 404-of-600 passes for 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, leading the Cowboys' second-ranked offense. But over the weekend, Dallas added some depth to the offensive line for 2026.

Sebastian Gutierrez, a 6-foot-5 offensive tackle, spent his college career at Minot State before going undrafted in 2022. He was initially signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent, but didn't make the final roster. Since then, Gutierrez has bounced around the league, spending a majority of his time on practice squads.

On Saturday, after a short stint with the New England Patriots, the Cowboys brought in Gutierrez and fellow offensive lineman Leroy Watson for a workout. And it turns out Gutierrez did enough to earn a spot on the training camp roster, signing with Dallas and giving Prescott some potential depth at the tackle position.

Along with Gutierrez, the Cowboys also waived outside linebacker Charles Snowden.
