The Dallas Cowboys coaching staff has one final preseason game to make their roster evaluations before the squad gets trimmed down to 53.
That means for players like receiver Ryan Flournoy, Friday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons to close out the preseason, is his last chance to prove to head coach Brian Schottenheimer and Co. that he is deserving of a roster spot.
In a sense, it all comes down to the Falcons game.
And that can bring a lot of pressure and anxiety, given players' football lives are on the line, but not for Ryan, he's taking it all in his stride.
"For me, it's calm," Flournoy said. "Being calm, just knowing, trusting my training, and I'm a man of God. I know he has me. He made my story already, and it's up to me to just go out there, be calm, play fast, physical, and just do all I can do."
With the receiver room having Jalen Brooks, Jalen Cropper, Flournoy, and Traeshon Holden all vying for a roster spot (Jonathan Mingo currently injured), at AT&T Stadium, it will be an all-out war to see who can impress and move themselves into position to survive roster cuts.
In his two preseason outings, Flournoy has three receptions for 47 yards, and while that might not jump off the page, Ryan has been getting open for fun, regularly in open space, which would please the coaching staff.
Now, he has to do it one more time to solidify his standing in Schottenheimer's offense.
