Game 1 of the NFL season is always one of the most exciting dates on the sports calendar, but fans hoping to be there live are definitely going to have to dig pretty deep into their wallets in order to attend.
The Cowboys and Eagles get things started in 2025 with a Thursday night matchup on NBC where Philadelphia will raise its second Super Bowl banner in eight years following its 40-22 beatdown of the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9.
The game will reportedly open with a national anthem performance from Philly's own Boyz II Men and see the Birds face off with one of their most-hated NFC East rivals.
Thursday night will admittedly be missing a little bit of star power with Dallas' recent trade of All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons, but that's not getting in the way of Cowboys-Eagles being the "most expensive" game of the NFL season.
Since tickets were released, resale prices have reportedly exploded on the secondary buying market.
According to TickPick, the least expensive ticket for standing room only seating at Lincoln Financial Field is almost $350 with the average price skyrocketing up to nearly $800 before taxes and fees.
The online ticket marketplace also notes that 8.8% of purchases have come from the state of Texas so America's Team will be well-represented in the City of Brotherly Love when Week 1 kicks off.
Insane: Thursday night's Cowboys vs. Eagles season opener is the MOST EXPENSIVE game this NFL season with a get-in price of $349 for standing room on @TickPick

"TV is free," a user said.
"The fact that nearly 9% of ticket buyers are from Dallas highlights just how invested local fans are in supporting their team, even at steep prices " another pointed out.
"Wow, $349 just for standing room?! " a fan asked. "The demand for Cowboys vs. Eagles is absolutely insane, showing how big these rivalry games are in the NFL."
"Absolutely insane "
"Lol I bet those are eagles fans living in Texas," another person laughed.
The Eagles have won four of their last six matchups vs. Dallas and the last couple haven't been particularly close — with Philly beating the Cowboys 34-6 and 41-7 in their two meetings last season.
In the 132 total times the two franchises have met (including the postseason), Dallas still leads the series with a 74-58 record. However, with the direction things have been going in lately it may not be long before Philadelphia evens things up.
