Dak Prescott's hilarious comment has Eagles fans laughing behind his back

Some things are just so funny and unrealistic that only video evidence can prove otherwise. Philadelphia Eagles fans might finally be picking themselves up from the floor after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott's comments.

Before the Cowboys' loss to the Los Angeles Rams in preseason, Prescott was speaking with Rams owner Stan Kroenke and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Prescott left the conversation by making what Eagles fans assumed to be a joke, but he might actually mean it.

"We'll meet y'all in the NFC Championship."

The laughter is done and Prescott can hopefully get back to reality

Sure, the Cowboys have had their fair share of success in the regular season, but this is a franchise that only hurts itself from actually doing what it should be doing: winning Super Bowls. Their playoff success (or lack thereof) since their last Super Bowl title in 1996 is laughable at best.

When was the last time Dallas was even in the NFC title game? Yep, it was that 1996 Super Bowl they won. Since then, the Cowboys have only made it as far as the NFC Divisional Round game.

Prescott really can't make comments like the one he made, considering his playoff track record. Even though he has thrown 14 touchdowns to seven interceptions, he has a 2-5 record as a starter in the playoffs.

The Eagles have had significantly better success since 1996 than the Cowboys, as they have appeared in four Super Bowls in that span and won two of them. Both Super Bowl titles have come in the last eight years.

There is a possibility that Prescott was referring to playing the Rams in the NFC Championship game in the new Madden NFL 26 video game (kidding, of course), but Dallas does not have much hope of making the postseason. The Eagles and Washington Commanders are the class of the NFC East, and given the depth of the NFC North, there won't be much room for error for the Cowboys this year.

It's safer to assume Prescott will be watching the NFC Championship game from his couch than actually playing in it during the 2025 campaign.
