Former first-round pick Tyler Guyton has been an integral piece for the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line this season. The 24-year-old offensive tackle has made six starts in Dallas’ first seven games of the 2025 campaign. The only game he has missed thus far was in Week 5 against the New York Jets, with Guyton being forced to sit out because of a concussion.
The Cowboys announced their injury report on Thursday, and Guyton was a notable addition to the growing list. This development has placed the former Oklahoma Sooners star’s status for Sunday’s matchup against the Denver Broncos in jeopardy.
The Cowboys improved to 3-3-1 on the season following their dominant performance in Week 7. They faced Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders at home at AT&T Stadium, with Dallas securing a convincing 44-22 victory.
Dak Prescott led the charge for the Cowboys with 21-of-30 completed passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns. The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback will want to keep the momentum going on Sunday against the Broncos, but he could be without a key protector if Guyton is unable to suit up.
Based on the Cowboys’ official injury report from Thursday’s practice, Guyton is dealing with a glute injury. He was a limited participant in practice.

The Cowboys have one final practice on Friday before the Broncos game, and it will be worth monitoring Guyton's status for that one. If he ends up being sidelined, head coach Brian Schottenheimer could be forced to make changes to his o-line.
Trevon Diggs remains on the sidelines with a concussion following a home accident, and his status for their next game remains up in the air. Players such as Tyler Smith, DeMarion Overshown and Kenny Clark remain limited, but the fact that Jonathan Mingo continues to be a full participant bodes well for the wide receiver’s imminent return.
The Cowboys will be back on the road on Sunday. They travel to Denver to face Bo Nix and the 5-2 Broncos, who are coming off a big win over the New York Giants. Kickoff from Empower High at Mile High is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
