The NFL season is only a few months away now. With that, training camps are starting up around the country and the Dallas Cowboys have now publicly released their schedule for their 2025 training camp.
Dallas will begin training camp on Tuesday, July 22nd, with its first team practice. The following Saturday, the Cowboys are set to host what’s being called an “Opening Ceremony – Cowboys Back Together Weekend.” The schedule list of events runs through the team’s third preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons at home on August 22nd. The entire schedule can be viewed below.

There are several other events that fans will likely be interested in as well. That includes 13 different open practices. One of those open practices will be a joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams. The preseason then opens on August 9th against the Rams. They’ll have another preseason game on August 16th against the Baltimore Ravens. On top of those games, Dallas will host Oxnard Fan Night and Heroes Appreciation Day.
This year, the Cowboys are likely going to have a new look at training camp. After the Mike McCarthy era finally came to an end, the team turned to Brian Schottenheimer to be its next head coach. Schottenheimer had previously been McCarthy’s offensive coordinator, but now he’s sitting in the big chair for the first time in his coaching career. So, how he differentiates himself from the previous tenure is going to be interesting to follow.
On top of that, fans will likely have an eye on some of the rookies. That includes first round pick Tyler Booker and former Texas Longhorns running back Jaydon Blue. Dallas also brought in some interesting free agents for fans to keep an eye on. That includes an almost entirely new defensive line, highlighted by Dante Fowler, Payton Turner, and Solomon Thomas. Add in star wide receiver George Pickens coming via trade and there’s plenty for Cowboys fans to look forward to in training camp.
Of course, there is room for drama at Cowboys training camp. Star edge rusher Micah Parsons is seeking a new contract. It’s been reported by Adam Schefter that he will eventually become the highest-paid player in NFL history. So, while Parsons has announced he won’t hold out, there’s motivation to get that contract done.
While Micah Parsons announced that he will be at Dallas Cowboys training camp, he is still looking for a new contract. In doing so, he’s put that future with the franchise in owner Jerry Jones’ hands.
“I will be there!” Parsons wrote. “I haven’t missed a mini camp in 4 years! Even though the contract is not done, I have teammates and a playbook! I’m preparing as if I will be on the field the first week of camp! But it’s in the owner’s hands. I’m ready to win a Super Bowl!”
Over his time with the franchise, Parsons has arguably become the face of the Dallas Cowboys. Now, the hope for fans is that they’ll find a way to get him to stay long-term.
