The Detroit Lions scored their biggest win of the young season on Monday Night Football as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens on the road by a score of 38-30, moving to 2-1 on the season.

Detroit's win included a seven-catch, 77 yards and one touchdown performance from receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown on the day he was chosen by former Raiders coach Jon Gruden as his favorite receiver in the NFL.

Following the game, St. Brown appeared to pay the compliment forward as he made a bold statement about his head coach Dan Campbell that illustrated how he feels about the Lions boss.

St. Brown's Campbell Compliment

St. Brown spoke to Sportscenter anchor Scott Van Pelt after the game as a huge section of Lions fans cheered from the stands.

He was asked about Campbell and his influence on the Lions' locker room.

"I think he's done a phenomenal job...He's the best coach I've ever been around," St. Brown said of the Lions' leader, while also sharing his respect and appreciation for each unit of the Lions' team including special teams.

Campbell's All-Time Record With Lions

Campbell moved to 41-29 all-time as the Lions' head coach with Monday Night's win.

The Lions were four-plus point underdogs in most sports books heading into the game but took control behind an opportunistic defense and the precision passing of quarterback Jared Goff.

Running back David Montgomery was the surprise, runaway star of the night, as he rushed for 151 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns.

Montgomery looks like a new man after years of battling injuries. His burst off of the line of scrimmage and powerful running style were too much for Baltimore on Monday.

Goff finished with 202 yards on the night and a touchdown, avoiding the mistakes that cost him and his team dearly during last season's playoff loss to the Washington Commanders.

The Lions will have a few days to digest the win before taking on Kevin Stefanski's Cleveland Browns this Sunday at Ford Field in search of their third win of the season.
