Davante Adams Talks About the Offensive Improvements
© Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

There is no doubt that the Raiders offense had ups and downs this entire season. Heading into Week 18 and the end of the season, the Raiders' total offense is ranked 29th in total offense, averaging 285.2 yards per game, 23rd in passing with 196.9 yards per game, 17th in rushing averaging 110.1 yards per game, and 17th in scoring averaging 21.4 points per game.

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams had the chance to speak to the media this week on the offensive improvements the offense has made since the beginning in Week 1 til now in Week 18 and the end of the season.

"I would just say the tenacity, the intention. Obviously for the most part, guys want to go out and do the right thing, but it was just a little bit more intentional this year. A little bit more gritty up front, a little nastier. We took care of a lot of the issues that people were expecting to be a problem for us. They went out and handled it and made sure that they weren't [issues] -- or if they were before, the second time around, they were basically eliminated from the game. So, knowing that you've got to take a guy out of the way on defense or whatever it is. And that's another piece, our defense being as consistent as what they were this year. That's one of the best defenses that I've gotten to play with. So, it's exciting when you can be carried by your D and hopefully that won't be the case moving forward, but it's still exciting to know that they can go and hold it down for us."

In his second season with the Silver and Black and with just one game left to play in the 2023-24 NFL regular season, Adams has 98 receptions, 1,098 yards, and seven touchdowns.

Be on the watch this Sunday for Adams against the Broncos in Allegiant Stadium. He has 27 catches for 372 yards and has scored two touchdowns in five games versus the Broncos in his career.

The Silver and Black finish the 2023 NFL Regular season this weekend at home by hosting their AFC West rival, the Denver Broncos.
