Denver Broncos Must Target These Two Wide Receivers To Improve Offense

The Denver Broncos are building toward contention, and one of their biggest priorities this offseason should be upgrading their receiving corps.

With a young quarterback in Bo Nix showing promise, surrounding him with elite weapons is crucial. That’s why Denver should aggressively pursue Tee Higgins or Chris Godwin in free agency.

Higgins, a dynamic receiver, has been a key playmaker for the Cincinnati Bengals, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and win contested balls.

His size and athleticism would immediately give the Broncos a true No. 1 target—something they’ve lacked in recent years. Pairing Higgins with Courtland Sutton would create a physically dominant receiving duo that would give defenses nightmares.

On the other hand, Chris Godwin would offer versatility and proven production.

The former Pro Bowler has been a consistent force for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, excelling as a possession receiver and a deep threat.

His ability to work out of the slot and on the perimeter would make him an ideal weapon for Nix, providing a reliable target who can rack up yards after the catch.

Adding either Higgins or Godwin—or both—would give the Broncos a top-tier receiving corps, taking pressure off the running game and opening up the offense.

With an estimated $53 million in cap space, Denver has the financial flexibility to make a move. A strong passing attack is essential in today’s NFL, and landing a star receiver would accelerate the Broncos’ offense.

If Denver is serious about making another playoff run next season, investing in elite playmakers is a must. Targeting Higgins and Godwin would be a bold step toward turning their offense into one of the league’s most dangerous units.
