On Monday, the Denver Broncos added depth to their defensive line on their first day of offseason workouts. The Broncos are in the process of adding 90 players to their offseason roster and will add several more players in the draft next week.

The Denver Broncos have a big draft coming up

The biggest question for the Broncos next week is at quarterback. Head coach Sean Payton will want to add a quarterback who will compete for the QB1 job this fall. But the team also needs to get better in the trenches. They added a veteran for depth purposes on the defensive line this week.

Angelo Blackson is signing with the Broncos

According to Mike Klis with 9 News, the Broncos signed defensive tackle Angelo Blackson. He’s made 42 starts in the league.

Blackson can play DE or DT

Blackson will provide the defense with flexibility. He can play defensive end or defensive tackle. In his nine-year NFL career, he’s recorded 179 tackles, 8.5 sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. Per Pro Football Focus, Blackson earned a 53.8 overall grade for his play with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.
