The Detroit Lions have now scored 90 points in their last two games. After blowing out the Chicago Bears in Week 2, 52-21, the Lions made it back-to-back wins on Monday night with another high-scoring victory. This time around, they took down Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, 38-30, to improve to 2-1 to start the new NFL season.
The bright lights were on the Lions and the Ravens for “Monday Night Football,” and it was Detroit that secured an impressive road victory at M&T Bank Stadium.
Jared Goff led the charge for the Lions, completing 20 of 28 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown. The veteran QB scored a win over two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, who went 21-of-27 with his passes for 288 yards and three TDs.
Detroit’s running game dominated this one, with David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs combining for 34 carries, 218 yards, and four touchdowns.
It was Montgomery who scored the game-sealing touchdown with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, on an impressive 31-yard rushing play.
The Lions took to social media shortly after the win to make an announcement. Detroit rewrote the history books with its victory over the Ravens.
“The @Lions have won four-straight Monday Night Football games for the first time in franchise history,” Detroit Lions PR announced on X.

This streak extends back to the Lions’ 26-14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 30, 2023. They’ve played in four primetime MNF games since then, including Monday’s win over the Ravens, and Detroit has won every single one of them.
The Lions have improved to 2-1 after defeating Baltimore. They are back in action on Sunday in a home game at Ford Field against the 1-2 Cleveland Browns.
