Dez Bryant gives Cowboys rookie ‘certified’ stamp of approval

The Dallas Cowboys hope for a trip to the NFL Playoffs in 2026. Former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is giving his endorsement to one of the team’s rookies, as preseason games get underway. Bryant is a fan of Dallas rookie wideout Camden Brown.

“Camden Brown Certified,” Bryant posted to X, formerly Twitter.

Brown made his mark in the team’s preseason opener. He caught two touchdown passes, and made some outstanding catches. Dallas defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 17-7.

“When the ball is in the air, it’s mine,” Brown said, per the team. “That’s always been a mindset, from Georgia Southern and Auburn, and just having that mentality, because I feel like just playing football in general is having the right mentality.”

Brown hopes for more big nights like he had against the Seahawks. Certainly, Dallas would love to have him continue his strong production as the season gets going.

The wide receiver is making several of his teammates believers in his talent.

“I love throwing to him.
Joe (Milton) loves throwing to him,” Cowboys quarterback Sam Howell said. “Cam’s been a great player. He gets open and when you throw it to him, he catches it.
And so he’s worked so hard. He puts a lot of extra time in and into the playbook, and it’s cool to see all his hard work come to fruition out here tonight. This guy’s living for [his sister].

“… In those one-on-one situations, I’m going to give them a chance every time. He made a great play. I was thankful he made the play for me. And yeah, anytime I have that opportunity to throw the ball to him one-on-one, especially down the field, I’m gonna do it. He’s a great player. He works so hard, and the sky’s the limit for him.”

Brown went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. He played his college football at Auburn, and Georgia Southern.
