Dolphins Early Projected 53-Man Roster Predictions

Running back (4): De’Von Achane, Jaylen Wright, Ollie Gordon II, Carlos Washington Jr.

Achane is coming off the best season of his career. He could have an even bigger impact in 2026 on a Dolphins offense full of questions at the skill positions.

Wright and Gordon will continue to compete to see who will be Achane’s primary backup.

Wide receiver (5): Caleb Douglas, Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, Kevin Coleman Jr., Tutu Atwell

Douglas has been shining throughout training camp and seems poised to be one of the team’s starting receivers.

When Chris Bell returns, he could find a role. But it appears he could start the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Tight end (4): Will Kacmarek, Greg Dulcich, Ben Sims, Seydou Traore

Because the Dolphins could use multiple-tight-end sets, they could keep four tight ends on the roster. Sims could also be used in a hybrid role that doubles as a fullback.

Offensive line (9): LT Patrick Paul, LG Kadyn Proctor, C Aaron Brewer, RG Jonah Savaiinaea, RT Austin Jackson, OL Caedam Wallace, C Andrew Meyer, OG DJ Campbell, OL Jamaree Salyer

The Dolphins’ offensive line appears to be improved, with Savaiinaea moving back to his natural position.

But can Austin Jackson stay healthy? That is the big question after he missed 20 games over the past two seasons.

Edge rusher (6): Chop Robinson, Josh Uche, Clelin Ferrell, Robert Beal Jr., Trey Moore, Willie Gay Jr.

Robinson and Uche have both made plays throughout training camp. There isn’t a lot of depth behind them, but Moore could be an intriguing prospect after playing both traditional linebacker and edge rusher in college.

Defensive line (5): Zach Sieler, Jordan Phillips, Kenneth Grant, Matthew Butler, Zeek Biggers

Can Grant take a step forward after finishing with just two sacks during his rookie year?

Sieler needs to have a big year after his down 2025 season because he has no remaining guaranteed money on his contract after this season.

Linebacker (5): Jacob Rodriguez, Jordyn Brooks, Tyrel Dodson, Kyle Louis, Ronnie Harrison Jr.

The way things are going for Rodriguez, it will be difficult to keep him off the field.

If he does start, what happens to Dodson?

Cornerback (6): Chris Johnson, AJ Green III, Alex Austin, Juju Brents, Jason Marshall Jr., Ethan Bonner

Miami’s secondary could be one of the weakest in the NFL in 2026.

The Dolphins really need Johnson to be the playmaker they expect after selecting him late in the first round.

Safety (4): Dante Trader Jr., Michael Taaffe, Lonnie Johnson Jr., Zayne Anderson

Anderson and Taaffe could be the wild cards here.

With Miami in rebuild mode, the Dolphins might as well see what the two can do in the back half of the secondary.

Specialists (3): K Riley Patterson, P Bradley Pinion, LS Tucker Addington

With Zane Gonzalez on injured reserve, it appears Patterson has locked up the kicking competition.
