
Dolphins Practice Recap for Saturday, August 8th
The Miami Dolphins held a scrimmage at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday morning, and it was open to fans.
Here is what took place on the field.
Clelin Ferrell, JuJu Brents, Dante Trader Jr., Lonnie Johnson Jr, Ben Sims, Kevin Coleman Jr., and Jamaree Salyer all missed practice with some form of injury.
Greg Dulcich practiced in a red jersey as he is returning from a hand injury.
Malik Washington hit Caleb Douglas for about 8 yards.
Malik Willis threw a pass to Malik Washington, which Washington dropped.
Cam Miller hit Cole Turner for roughly 9 yards.
Jacob Rodriguez stopped Willis on a quarterback run.
Willis scrambled out of the pocket and hit rookie tight end Seydou Traore for about 20 yards.
Cam Miller hit Tajh Washington for a 50-yard pass play (give or take a few yards). Cornerback Miles Battle was beaten on the play
Matthe Butler sacked Willis
Tanner Wall broke up a Cam Miller pass in the end zone
Ollie Gordon was stopped by Zeek Biggers at the line of scrimmage
Cam Miller hit Donovan McCulley on a 40+ yard pass play
Carlos Washington Jr takes a handoff from Quinn Ewers and runs for about 10 yards
Chop Robinson sacked Malik Willis, beating Austin Jackson
Ewers hit Terrace Marshall Jr for a 45-yard pass play.
Ollie Gordon had back-to-back runs of about 2 yards each.
Ethan Robinson intercepted a Cam Miller pass
Quinn Ewers hit AJ Henning for a touchdown on a red-zone play
Malik Willis hit TuTu Atwell for a first down
Jaylen Wright had a run that was stopped at the line of scrimmage
Willis hit Caleb Douglas for a short gain
Riley Patterson made all 3 of his field goal attempts; the longest was from 54 yards
Zane Gonzalez hit all of his field goals today as well
Jason Marshall Jr on a special teams rep, downed a punt inside the 5-yard line
The Dolphins had one-on-one drills, and in those drills Jonah Savaiinaea did a very good job holding his own today
Miami’s offense struggled in the red-zone drills to get the ball in the end zone.
The Dolphins will not practice on Sunday as they have an off day.
