Dolphins Stock Up/Stock Down Report: Dolphins vs Jets Recap

Week 4 of the regular season is in the books, and the Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season, beating the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. It wasn’t a perfect game by the Dolphins by any means, but there was way more good than bad to say the least.

Here is my Stock Up/Stock Down report.

STOCK UP

Darren Waller: He finally was able to go, and he made two huge plays in the first half, catching a pass for a first down on the opening drive. Then, catching a touchdown on 4th down near the goalline, and got both feet in on a tough play. Then he caught another touchdown pass to open the 2nd half. Heck, Waller even recovered the onside kick to seal the victory.

Defensive Takeaways: The Defense came into this game with no takeaways, but they had two in the first half, both resulting from fumble recoveries.

Tyreek Hill: The injury (most likely season-ending) was horrible, and for all of the nonsense off the field, he was fantastic yet again tonight. He was having a great season quietly on a bad team.

Jordyn Brooks: He led the Dolphins in tackles by a mile and was all over the place tonight. 18 total tackles, 15 solo tackles. He was a tackling machine.

STOCK DOWN

Run Defense: The Dolphins’ defense cannot stop the run. The Jets averaged 7.2 yards per carry in the first half. If not for Jack Jones‘ causing a fumble, they would have easily had a rushing touchdown in the first half, too.

Dolphins Uniforms: I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t love them. In theory, as merchandise for fans, and not seeing them in a game ,I thought they were fine. I thought seeing them tonight, as the team wore them, yeah, that didn’t work for me.
