Dolphins Training Camp Practice Recap for Thurs, August 21
The Dolphins held their final practice open to the media and fans today. It was a joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who they will play Saturday evening at Hard Rock Stadium.
Here is a recap of today’s practice, as we had someone on site watching.
Jaylen Wright limped off the field during practice with a leg injury. It didn’t look good, but we ha ve no further information on how serious it is at this time.
Kenneth Grant didn’t practice and is day-to-day
CB Kendall Sheffield will miss a week with a soft tissue injury
LB Jordyn Brooks was injured at the end of practice. He waved the cart off and walked off the field with trainers with a lower-body injury.
Minkah Fitzpatrick intercepted a Trevor Lawrence pass
Zach Wilson threw a TD to Theo Wease
Jaylen Wright, before his injury, had a 4-yard run following a Larry Borom block
There was a lot of Red Zone offense work today
Tua hit Jaylen Waddle on a 10-yard TD pass
Jason Marshall Jr broke up a pass to Brian Thomas
Tua hit Malik Washington for a short touchdown
Tua was sacked when all of his receivers were covered
Former Dolphins edge rusher Emmanuel Ogbah sacked Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson short-hopped a pass to Tanner Conner that would have been an easy touchdown
Jack Jones intercepted Trevor Lawrence
THERE WAS A HUGE FIGHT DURING PRACTICE WITH THE DOLPHINS DEFENSE AND THE JAGUARS OFFENSE. FIGHT STARTED ON THE PRACTICE FIELD AND WENT INTO THE INDOOR FACILITY.
Austin Jackson was out of his walking boot today, watching practice from the sideline
Quinton Bell sacked Trevor Lawrence
Tua Tagovailoa hit Pharoah Brown for a short pass, Brown was hit and fumbled, and but it was recovered by Brown.
Ollie Gordon ran for a short gain
Jaylen Wright had a 5-yard TD run prior to his injury
Andrew Armstrong had a 35-yard catch from Zach Wilson
Liam Eichenberg was watching practice on the sideline with a sleeve on his left leg
