DeVonta Smith and the Philadelphia Eagles hit the road for a Week 12 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. They're looking to extend their four-game winning streak after defeating the Detroit Lions 16-9 last week.
Smith didn't see much production against the Lions, hauling in just one reception for eight yards on five targets. However, he's still an important piece to the offense and has established himself as a top target for quarterback Jalen Hurts.
At 8-2, the Eagles are in first place in the NFC East, looking to win the division for a second straight season. A win over the second-place Cowboys (4-5-1) would only further their lead.
In most cases, when teams play an away game, all players will travel together on a charter or team plane. However, that won't be the case this week for everyone on the Eagles.
In an X post on Saturday, just a day before playing the Cowboys, Philadelphia revealed that Smith will be travelling separately due to personal reasons.
"WR DeVonta Smith is traveling separately from the team for personal reasons and has no game status," the team wrote.

There has been no update going into further details, but it is worth noting that his game status has not changed, meaning the wide receiver will be playing.
That's important considering Smith has been the Eagles' top wide receiver this season, leading the team in targets (67), receptions (49), yards (665) and tied for second in touchdowns (three).
In five of Philadelphia's 10 games, he's led the team in receiving yards. That includes an impressive Week 7 performance against the Minnesota Vikings with nine receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown.
Following that performance, head coach Nick Sirianni praised Smith, saying , "DeVonta is so tough, and he knows that. We talk a lot about, and I know he talked a lot about this in college, about finishing runs and finding ways to get ugly yards after the catch," according to John Clark of NBC Philadelphia.
Though he's traveling separately from the team, the wide receiver is looking for a big game against a Dallas defense that ranks 30th in passing yards per game allowed (249.9).
Kickoff is Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium, airing on Fox.
