A former Philadelphia Eagles star has landed in hot water after one of his former players decided to sue him. Former wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who transitioned into coaching after his NFL career was over, is now in legal trouble.
Jackson joined Delaware State, where he delivered positive results. However, not everything is good for the three-time Pro Bowler.
One of his former players has accused Jackson of assaulting him, while mentioning one of his former teammates of choking him until he lost consciousness and fell to the floor.
Fox News obtained a complaint from Malachi Biggs, in which he alleged that former teammate Anthony Herbert brutally assaulted him in the team’s locker room on Nov. 19. He allegedly knocked out at least a dozen teeth and rendered him unconscious during the attack.
Where does DeSean Jackson enter in this situation? Biggs accused his former coach of encouraging an “unsafe environment” and a “tough guy” philosophy that “relied heavily upon the use of gang-associated slang and gang-associated mentality.”
Additionally, Biggs accused Jackson of failing to prevent hazing and other dangerous conduct within the program. The former Eagles star allegedly “encouraged crimes, assaults, harassment, hazing, altercations.”
Instead of punishing Hebert over this incident, he allegedly hired him for his coaching staff.
The former Super Bowl champion denied the allegations in an Instagram post.
