Eagles make bombshell change after Landon Dickerson injury

The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing the Tennessee Titans this week, and they’ll be without Landon Dickerson after placing him on injured reserve after their win against the Washington Commanders. That means there will be a shakeup on the offensive line, and they’re already moving players around for their Week 2 matchup, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network.

“Cam Jurgens, their center, will move to guard. Drew Kendall will start at center today vs. the Titans, per me and Ian Rapoport. A significant change with Landon Dickerson on injured reserve,” Wolfe said on GameDay Live.

The Eagles are hoping that the shift on the line is effective against the Titans, and if it is, it looks like something they’ll keep until Dickerson returns. Dickerson played injured in Week 1 even though he wasn’t on the injury report, as head coach Nick Sirianna said that imaging wasn’t done until after the game.

Dickerson knows that he didn’t play his best in Week 1, and he shared the process of him going on IR following the game.

“A few weeks ago, got rolled up on in practice. I thought as weeks went by, it would get better,” Dickerson said. “And it didn’t. And we kind of went out there and finally got some imaging on it today, figured out what was wrong with it. And really, the best plan moving forward is to put me on IR so I can get this thing better to have a good stretch of the back end of the season versus kind of what happened last year was, you know, go out there and limp it through for 18 weeks. And I don’t think anybody wants to see that again, because that was just ugly. I don’t want to do that again, because that was just some BS.”
