Eagles To Sign CB Kenny Moore

Instead, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports Moore will be signing with the Eagles. This will be a practice squad agreement. Moore remained on the open market through the first two weeks of the regular season, but it was recently reported he was drawing interest. This one-year pact is expected to be worth up to $3MM, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo adds.

Garafolo adds a plan is in place for Moore to play at slot corner and safety on his new team. Cooper DeJean has seen his slot usage decrease early in 2026 compared to his previous two campaigns, while the safety position was a talking point throughout the offseason in Philadelphia’s case. Andrew Mukuba and Marcus Epps have operated as safety starters so far this year.

Moore spent each of his first nine NFL seasons in Indianapolis, operating as one of the league’s top slot corners during that span. He and the Colts agreed to seek out a trade this spring, but no swap took place. As a result, the former Pro Bowler wound up being released in May. After a lengthy spell on the market, Moore has set up the second chapter of his playing career.

The Eagles entered Tuesday mid-pack in the NFL in terms of cap space with $12.69MM available. This Moore deal will use up a portion of that figure while allowing the 31-year-old to meet his stated goal of signing with a contender. Philadelphia is among the league’s 2-0 teams, resulting in top spot in the NFC East early on.

That perfect record has been made possible in part by a strong showing against the pass so far. The Eagles currently rank fifth in the NFL in passing yards allowed. Moore will aim to offer depth contributions on that front, but with 111 starts to his name he could also find himself occupying a first-team defensive role at some point.
