The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ thrilling 20-19 win over the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football came with a steep price. The victory was overshadowed by a slew of injuries, with three starters likely heading to injured reserve.

However, there’s a silver lining: Emeka Egbuka, the Bucs’ rookie sensation, is expected to suit up for Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets.

Via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler,

“#Bucs WR Emeka Egbuka, who is questionable (hip, groin), is expected to play Sunday vs. #Jets, per sources.

The rookie has three touchdowns through two games.”

Buccaneers rookie Emeka Egbuka sustained a hip and groin injuries during Monday’s game against the Houston Texans. Despite his discomfort, Egbuka played through the injury and scored a touchdown, helping the Buccaneers take an early 10-7 lead. After missing Wednesday and Thursday’s practices, Egbuka returned to practice on Friday with limited participation.

His status for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets is currently listed as questionable. Egbuka’s return to practice is a positive sign, and his presence would significantly impact the Buccaneers’ offense.

Look for the Buccaneers to try and get out to an early lead against the lowly Jets. This will provide Head Coach Todd Bowles the chance to rest some of the banged up players.
