The Dallas Cowboys are 3-5-1 on the season, and their prospects of competing for a playoff spot are not looking good after losing their last two games. However, they have a chance to bounce back on Monday when they play the Las Vegas Raiders.
Las Vegas, like Dallas, is struggling. The team is in a far worse situation, tallying a 2-7 record and currently riding a three-game skid.
In a battle of two teams that have plenty of issues to address, though, one squad has been given a greater chance to come out on top over the other.
According to ESPN's Matchup Predictor, the Cowboys have a 57.3% chance to emerge victorious in the contest. As for the Raiders, they are more likely to lose, with only a 42.4% chance to win.
For what it's worth, it's not that surprising that the Raiders are predicted to lose. After all, they have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, ranking 30th in total offense entering Week 11. Their defense doesn't provide much hope either, as they rank 15th in total defense.
The Cowboys are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, so it's not like the Raiders don't have a fighting chance. But, Dak Prescott is leading a Dallas roster that is currently No. 4 in total offense in the NFL.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer's passing offense is particularly dangerous, which could give Las Vegas plenty of problems during the Monday Night Football clash.
It remains to be seen if the Cowboys will be able to actually beat the Raiders. After all, it should be remembered that Dallas lost to an Arizona Cardinals team that was 2-5 entering their Week 9 battle.
