As the current head coach hiring cycle continues, those teams who have already filled the spots are now filling out their staffs.

The New Orleans Saints are the only team that has not hired a head coach, and the candidates are quickly falling off the board.

One of the most sought-after candidates was former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, who accepted the role as head coach for the New York Jets.

And Glenn is looking to a former Cleveland Browns tight end for help.

Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Steve Heiden has been tabbed by Glenn to coach the offensive line in New York. Heiden worked under Glenn in Detroit as his tight ends coach.

Heiden has spent his entire coaching career with the tight ends across 12 seasons in Arizona and Detroit and served as the assistant offensive line coach in Arizona in 2018.

The former South Dakota State Jackrabbit was drafted by the Chargers in the third round in 1999 before he spent three seasons in San Diego. He signed with the Browns as a free agent in 2002 and spent the next eight seasons in Cleveland.

Heiden caught 201 balls for 1,689 yards and 14 touchdowns during his NFL career.
