One of the most underrated running backs of the last decade in the NFL was Latavius Murray. He was a Pro Bowler for the Raiders in 2015 when he rushed for 1,066 yards, but bounced around the NFL quite a bit over the course of his career.

Last season was the first time in his career when he wasn't able to land with a team, and it looks like he's made a difficult decision.

Latavius Murray Retires From NFL

Murray didn't have many more prospects of playing for another team now that he's 35, so he took to social media to announce that he has retired from the NFL.

Murray came into the NFL in 2013 as a sixth-round pick of the Raiders, and he quickly started to stand out due to the fact that he was 6-foot-3 and ran a 4.38 40-yard dash. He broke out in his second season when he rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He eventually earned a starting job and was an important player on the 2016 team that made the playoffs. For whatever reason, the Raiders decided to move after that season, but he was still able to have a productive career.

Murray Bounced Around NFL

Following his time with the Raiders, Murray had brief stints with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints. He started to gain a reputation as a really reliable No. 2 running back who could start a game when needed.

He also played for the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills. Murray isn't going to be in the Hall of Fame one day, but he was a key player for a few teams throughout his career. The fact that he made it to 35 as a running back is a rare achievement in the modern NFL.
