Expectations For The Falcons Are The Highest They've Been In Years
© Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

After a mediocre 2024 season, the Falcons have reshaped the look of this team and now look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2017. The Falcons have utilized the 2025 offseason to make sure they find their defensive linemen, and secondary, as those were the low points in 2024.

The Falcons are still looking for a trade partner for both Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts but have yet to find that partner just yet after months of calls and searching. Whether or not those two get traded could make or break how the team chemistry can look in 2025 around those two.

Bijan Robinson and Drake London are both coming off their best seasons as pros and look to keep improving and both make it to the playoffs for the first time in their careers. Other weapons like Darnell Mooner and Tyler Allgeier look to put up productive seasons as well.

Expectations are also high for first round picks Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. as they both look to be the stars of the defensive line. They also look to make an impact right out the gates and hope to turn a bottom-five defense into one of the best in the league.

Players like Robinson and Michael Penix Jr. know the expectations are high and along with Head Coach Raheem Morris, look to finally get over that hump. Many different players must step up for this to be possible.

The Falcons have constructed one of the best young rosters in the NFL through the draft and free agency. They look to meet and exceed expectations in 2025.
