The Atlanta Falcons are giving a player who only played one season in the NFL a second chance to prove he belongs in the big leagues.

The team is signing RB Jashaun Corbin, fresh off a fantastic season in the UFL.

Falcons sign 2025 UFL leading rusher Jashaun Corbin

This won't be Corbin's first time in the NFL. He signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent ahead of the 2022 season. He bounced around with the Carolina Panthers and Giants between but ultimately made his regular-season debut with the Giants in 2023. He appeared in six games but only recorded one carry for one yard, as well as three receptions for 12 yards.

His time in the NFL ended on a sour note with him being placed on the IR and being waived by the Giants. This past year, he was able to rejuvenate his football career in the UFL. He led the UFL in rushing yards by turning 97 carries for 514 yards. He also added 138 receiving yards to give him 652 yards all-purpose yards, which was the third most in the league. And while he was the San Antonio Brahmas' top weapon, he also made a point to contribute on special teams by ending the year with 253 yards as a kick returner.

He now returns to the NFL, still only 24 years old, with a rare second chance to prove he belongs at this level. He joins a Falcons backfield that has its starter locked in place in Bijan Robinson, who has been one of the top RBs in the NFL. They also have their primary backup seemingly in place with Tyler Allgeier. After that, though, it seems like the final 1-2 RB roster spots are genuinely up for grabs. Corbin has a golden opportunity to earn a roster spot, and it'll be exciting to see if he can capitalize on it.
